THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you passionate about driving strategic growth and fostering strong partnerships within the pet industry? We are seeking a dynamic Pet Channel Development Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of expanding our key sales channels, ensuring seamless alignment between our internal teams and external partners.
As a Pet Channel Development Manager, you will:
• Develop and implement effective channel strategies that drive revenue growth within the pet industry.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure cohesive execution of strategies.
• Manage and nurture relationships with channel partners to maximize revenue opportunities.
This position is primarily office-based to facilitate close collaboration with our cross-functional teams, though frequent travel may be required to meet with partners and stakeholders.
This position is based in Lisbon, Portugal and reports directly to the BU Head Pets (Animal Health).

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Channel Strategy & Planning
• Develop and execute strategies to expand market reach and optimize sales.
• Analyze market trends and partner performance for growth opportunities, aligning strategies with business goals through collaboration with internal teams.
Partner Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, onboarding new partners and providing necessary training and resources.
• Monitor and guide partner performance for improved results.
Sales Enablement & Support
• Create sales tools, presentations, and training for partners, collaborating with marketing on promotional campaigns.
• Provide partners with updates on products, pricing, and promotions.
Market Analysis & Reporting
• Conduct market analysis to track competitors and trends, reporting on channel performance and providing actionable insights to refine strategies.
Collaboration & Coordination
• Facilitate communication between partners and internal teams, ensuring consistent messaging and product positioning.
• Lead regular meetings with partners to review performance and share best practices.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM
• Minimum of 2 years in channel management, sales, or business development, preferably in the animal health pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven Track Record: Developing channel strategies and managing partner relationships.
• Industry Knowledge: With key accounts in retail and corporate veterinary channels is essential.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute effective plans, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Data-Driven: Ability to analyze market data and make informed decisions.
• Organizational Skills: Highly organized with strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and other relevant software tools.
• Travel: Flexibility to travel to meet with partners, attend industry events, and participate in training sessions.
• Market Understanding: Strong understanding of animal health market trends.
• Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
