WHAT YOU WILL DO

In this role you will work as an Information Systems engineer, specializing in Email and Fax, to deliver collaboration technologies to the enterprise of over 40,000 users worldwide. You will be part of an expert team delivering our current offerings of Office 365 (Exchange, MS Teams, SharePoint, Viva Engage, etc..), and other applications like Miro and Slido.

You will join a team of hardworking, multifaceted, and passionate engineers who take personal pride in the service they deliver to our workmates and external clients. Your specialty will be messaging (hybrid Exchange and Fax) but will involve being a SME with other collaboration products as well. In conjunction with the lead messaging engineer and operations team, you may participate in the design, configuration, administration, maintenance, and support of email and messaging solutions in a 24x7 global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Help define the business requirements for the organization's email and messaging solutions by gathering requirements from various stakeholders

  • Performs installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and support of email and messaging products, such as Microsoft Exchange 2016, Microsoft 365 products such as Exchange Online and Teams, along with eFax & RightFax.

  • Evaluates and recommends associated hardware, software and cloud solutions based on the business requirements and user needs.

  • The coordination of testing and implementation of the system software, including conversion of data to the new system, and working with application support personnel to resolve system problems.

  • Ensures optimum access to 24x7 email and messaging environment and integration among email and messaging systems.

  • Creating integrations & automations between systems

  • Creating awareness of the vendor product release plans and create a partnership for the delivery of new functionalities.

  • Act as an escalation point (Tier 3) for our Managed Service Provider (MSP), providing technical support on email/messaging related issues.

  • Prepares documentation that will assist in the administration and maintenance of the email and messaging environment.

  • Writing and maintaining SOPs.

  • May serve as an internal consultant to developers regarding our fax and messaging systems

Basic Qualifications

  • Master's degree & 1 year of Information Systems experience supporting messaging systems

  • Bachelor's degree & 2 years of Information Systems experience supporting messaging systems

  • Associates degree & 4 years of Information Systems experience supporting messaging systems

AND

  • Ability to work with vendor personnel to resolve problems and issues on behalf of the client or the company

  • Experience with the configuration and administration of Microsoft Teams, MDM, Microsoft Exchange on-prem & Exchange Online in a hybrid and clustered configuration

  • Skilled in messaging automation and scripting using PowerShell and other tools/languages

  • Solid understanding of DMARC, DKIM, SPF

  • Knowledge of basic networking methodologies and techniques

  • Skilled in SMTP mail routing, DNS, Linux, and Active Directory

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization

  • Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources

  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA

  • Working knowledge of:

  • DLP such as Defender for O365

  • MS Windows operating systems in clustered server environments & Amazon SES

  • SSO providers such as Okta

  • Experience with automation platforms such as Power Automate, Azure, and AWS technologies

  • Scripting proficiency using PowerShell (preferred), Python, JavaScript

  • Skill and experience in migrating a large corporation from on-prem to cloud highly desired

  • Project Management experience within an enterprise environment

  • Experience working with ServiceNow

  • Experience working with OCM teams and following Change procedures/processes

  • Microsoft, or other relevant certifications are a plus
