Job Description

Leading with expertise and dedication, the Mechanical Engineer oversees and coordinates the maintenance and repair activities within the designated area. Responsible for ensuring operational efficiency and safety, this role involves managing and assisting a team of mechanical technicians, scheduling maintenance tasks, and enforcing best practices. The Mechanical Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving productivity, maintaining equipment reliability, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the mechanical operations area. The Mechanical Engineer will maintain records of all mechanical work, implement strategic directions for plant reliability and maintenance, train and oversee employees, and ensure the proper inventory of critical spare parts. Additionally, the role involves determining the need for external resources, responding promptly to mill breakdowns, investigating equipment failures, and developing preventative maintenance plans.
