Job Description

  • Troubleshoot, install, and repair all aspects of Automatic, Robotic, and CNC machinery.

  • Troubleshoot and repair Automated Paint Lines, Setting Presses, Automated Welders, CNC Grinders, Robots, and other complex machinery.

  • Duties may include: supporting all aspects of equipment and machinery; including PLC programming and program modifications, programming of HMI’s and servo controllers.

  • Jog, and reset Fanuc and Denso Robots.

  • Teach / Touch up Robot positions to correct material handling paths.

  • Plan and install primary and secondary controls, diagnose electrical/electronic problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective control modules, test units for proper function, and make final adjustments.

  • Prepare wiring diagram to record changes.

  • Make mechanical repairs as necessary. Some work and repairs require mechanical repairs, and all techs do this no matter of pay grade.

  • Support the daily continuous improvement activities.

  • Enter all work completed / in progress into SAP work order system.

  • Any Other duties as deemed necessary to support production.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years experience in a similar manufacturing environment working with Control Systems, PLC's, CNC Controls, Robots, PC's and HMI's.

  • Working knowledge of prints, schematics, and equipment documentation for installation, modification and repair of production equipment.

  • Working knowledge of machine communications including understanding of communication cables and LAN components.

  • Full competency in working safely in electrical control panels of various voltage levels.

  • Qualified to work in electrical panels of 3-phase 480 volts and lower using all proper safety procedures and PPE. This will be verified by a practical demonstration before you can work in any panel.

  • Good computer, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • Communication, Teamwork, and strong customer service skills.

  • Prior Robot Schools is a strong plus. (certificate required to operate and teach robots.)
