AON Account Specialist II - Account Receivables in Lincolnshire, Illinois

Aon is Looking for an Account Specialist – Account Receivables

We currently have a career opportunity for an Onshore Account Specialist to work either virtual or hybrid out of our Lincolnshire, IL office.

Your impact as an Account Specialist:

As an Onshore Account Specialist, you will work with one of our 5 regions to manage and own aged Account Receivables and aged Cash on Account.

This position reports to the Associate Director, Client Service Unit, but is required to follow the direction of a senior staff member and maintain effective and productive relationships with both internal and external clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Cash on Account (COA):

  • Unidentified cash/payment or partial payments will be escalated to Onshore if not resolved Offshore after 7 days. Onshore will work with AST to identify how to apply and will contact the client directly as needed. Onshore/Offshore will create SR for cash reapplication.

    Accounts Receivable:

  • Offshore research AR aged 45 days + and validates credit invoices. Onshore will assist when AST is not responding, or AST has questions on resolution.

  • Collection: Clients exempted from Automated Reminders - Offshore will send soft collection email and process client’s feedback (In Dispute, Payment Plan Needed or Cash Application) & Clients with Automated Reminders – Onshore will call client and process client’s feedback (In Dispute, Payment Plan Needed or Cash Application)

    Client Contact:

  • Onshore will work with AST to confirm correct client contact - Offshore via email & Onshore via email and/or phone calls.

    Client Checks Sent to Offices, Not Remittance Address:

  • Onshore to obtain checks from offices and contact client to provide remittance instructions for future payments

    Meetings/Reporting:

  • Onshore to provide reporting and hold meetings with CSDLs, Directors, ADs, Controllership, PASC and Genpact

    Carrier Relations:

  • Offshore/Onshore Review Carrier Delinquency Reports (i.e., Current Travelers Project) & Onshore Review/Resolve Carrier Pay to Issues

    Requirements

  • 1 – 3 years of accounts receivable experience or relevant experience in a finance/accounting role.

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with external and internal clients on client servicing activities

  • Must have strong Excel skills to import/export data, strong Word skills.

  • Successfully operates in a fast-paced output driven environment that requires staff members to multi-task, react quickly and perform task that are not routine.

  • Must maintain appropriate insurance brokers license or obtain within 6 months of hire.

    Pay Transparency:

    The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $80,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
