Job Description
T he role of Senior Specialist, Global Communications, Manufacturing is a unique opportunity to join our company, as a key member of or Manufacturing Division. The role is dedicated to managing day-to-day communications related to our company’s global manufacturing operations.
This position reports to the Director, Global Communications, Manufacturing Division.
Roles & Responsibilities
Manufacturing Division Communications Support
Create engagement with our Manufacturing Division divisional and enterprise strategies
Support the execution of strategies that help the organization navigate change, growth, crisis and employee affairs
Drive our Manufacturing Division content strategy by surfacing stories of innovation, safety and diversity that can be communicated internally and externally
Support our Manufacturing Division event execution and content projects as needed
Operating Units and Functional Areas Communications Support
Support operating units, including external manufacturing, and functional areas in the development and implementation of integrated communications strategies
Global Biologics Operations (20%)
Global Pharmaceutical Operations (20%)
Global Vaccines Operations (20%)
MPS (15%)
Shared Services (15%)
Digital Manufacturing Division (10%)
Ensure alignment of communications strategies and activities between the division, operating units, functional areas and sites
Collaborate with site communications leads to create visibility of communications efforts as appropriate
Support the development and delivery of communications and content that inform, engage and inspire employees within operating units, functional areas and our Manufacturing Division organization
Leverage thought leadership efforts to strengthen the company’s reputation, while elevating the profile of key manufacturing senior leaders
Routinely measure and report out to stakeholders regarding the impact of internal communications.
Educate on our Manufacturing Division communications guidance and policies
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
Commute/Location:
This role is based at our Headquarters site in Rahway, NJ (USA), with a Hybrid setup (combination of an in-office & remote).
This position cannot be 100% remote.
Required Experience and Skills:
A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in a communications or public relations role within the pharmaceutical or a related industry.
Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities – ability manage multiple deadlines.
Experience in preparing strategic communications plans and deliver at the tactical level.
Excellent analytical, written, and oral communications skills across a variety of mediums/channels (e.g., print, digital, presentation)
Collaborator with ability to work independently, detail-oriented, comfortable in a high-visibility role in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
Manufacturing experience a plus.
Budget and agency management experience.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected US salary range:
$91,600.00 - $144,100.00
