Mainframe Security Engineer

What does a successful Mainframe Security Engineer do at Fiserv?

You will provide technical and security support for all Fiserv IBM z/Mainframe-based solutions. You will be involved with access administration, new security products, and INC/CHG/PRB support. This role will also allow you to perform problem determination and resolution, capture and transmit system dumps, collaborate with other technical teams on production rollouts, and work closely with vendor’s technical support teams on various issues.

What you will do:

  • Process access management service requests, including new user access and access removal

  • Participate in the implementation, performance, testing and integrity of a large (shared and cluster queues) IBM z/OS Parallel Sysplex systems

  • Work with internal customers to clarify technical requests, testing and validation, and project support needs

  • Work with computer operations to quickly resolve incidents and automate operational processes

  • Support and participate in disaster recovery exercises

  • Ensure availability and performance objectives, as required by customers and management are maintained for operating systems and for system software components

  • Provide on-call support as part of a global rotation

What you will need to have:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience supporting a large IBM z/OS Mainframe environment

  • 5+ years of Mainframe Security Managers (RACF, ACF2 and/or TSS) and managing SSL Certificates

  • 5+ years of implementing security enhancements, such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Role Based Access Controls (RBAC)

  • 5+ years of experience with Disaster Recovery development, testing, & implementation

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

Salary Range:

$87,500.00-$118,900.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Maryland. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. Certain Positions are Commissions eligible.
