As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for fostering partnerships, leading teams, and steering the proposal process for sectors including Health and Human Services, Transportation, and other public services.

Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager ​ to foster partnerships, lead teams, and steer the proposal process for sectors including Health and Human Services, Transportation, and other public services. This position will be full-time and remote.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategize and implement comprehensive business development plans across multiple public sector divisions

  • Lead and mentor business development teams, setting clear goals and benchmarks for success

  • Cultivate long-term relationships with key stakeholders in various public sector industries to secure business opportunities

  • Oversee the entire RFP process, from identifying opportunities to submitting compelling proposals

  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and leverage insights for divisional growth

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product teams to align divisional strategies with overall company objectives

  • Ensure a consistent and impactful brand presence within the public sector market

  • Report to executive management on divisional performance, pipeline status, and strategic partnership outcomes

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Proven track record of success in public sector industries, such as Health and Human Services and Transportation

  • Deep understanding of the RFP process and experience in securing government contracts

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market data and turn it into actionable business strategies

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a history of leading high-performing business development teams

  • Excellent communication and networking abilities to effectively manage relationships and partnerships

  • Willingness to travel as necessary to meet with partners, attend industry events, and support business development activities

Preferred:

  • A master's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field is highly desirable or experience within roles of similar responsibilities

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
