Robert Half Audit Manager in Lincoln, Nebraska

Description

We are offering contract employment opportunity for an Audit Manager located in Lincoln, Nebraska, United States. As an Audit Manager, your primary role will be to oversee audit processes, manage documentation, analyze financial statements, and provide technical support to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct external audits for government entities and other organizations in compliance with auditing standards, regulations, and guidelines.

  • Utilize Thomson Reuters audit software to streamline audit processes, manage documentation, and analyze financial statements effectively.

  • Evaluate financial and operational records to identify risks, irregularities, and opportunities for improvements in internal controls.

  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings, recommendations, and actionable insights for both management and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with government agencies and departments to ensure adherence to compliance standards, budgeting processes, and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide technical support and advice to clients regarding audit procedures, internal controls, and financial reporting practices.

  • Perform audit testing, assess risks, and ensure audit procedures are followed effectively to meet regulatory and corporate expectations.

  • Stay updated with evolving government regulations, industry best practices, and changes in tax laws to provide accurate and timely guidance to clients.

  • Communicate audit results clearly to clients, management, and relevant authorities in both written and oral formats.

  • Assist in developing audit plans and strategies tailored to the specific needs of government clients.

    Requirements

• Proven experience with Accounting Software Systems

• Proficiency in Audit Program

• Demonstrated skills in CaseWare

• Ability to manage Accounting Functions

• Experience with Audit Engagements

• Strong understanding of Auditing principles and practices

• Ability to develop and execute Audit Plans

• Proficiency in managing Budget Processes
