Who will you be working with?

Napier Turbocharger, a Wabtec Company, is looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. We design, manufacture, and test industrial turbochargers for the power generation, marine, and rail traction industries.

Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £Competitive

Location: LN5 7FD, Lincoln

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

How will you make a difference?

As a senior member of the Engineering team, you will be taking the lead in the design, and development of new turbochargers and associated products. This involves pushing current technology as well as developing new, to bring to the market solutions for IC and other thermal machines.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Design of new turbochargers and related machines.

  • Be the lead on technical projects, involving R&D, product validation, testing, and associated development.

  • Interfacing with other business functions, Commercial, Manufacturing and Procurement.

  • Input to methods development and continuous improvement initiatives.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Experience in high-speed rotating equipment engineering ideally turbochargers. Demonstrate engineering leadership especially the ability to problem solve and drive assigned activities through to completion in a timely manner.

  • Demonstrate experience of working with non-engineering functions to deliver projects.

  • Demonstrate strong project management skills.
