Through our leadership and expertise, we strive to engage our community in promoting zero tolerance of domestic violence.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate team player to join our agency as a full-time Court Advocate. The Court Advocate will play a crucial role in supporting survivors through the legal process, ensuring their rights are upheld, and providing advocacy to help navigate the complexities of the legal system. This position has a daily presence at the Lima Municipal Court assisting survivors of domestic violence through the court process and acting as a liaison between the survivor and the prosecutors. This position provides assistance to survivors by providing legal process information, court accompaniment, transportation, domestic violence education, ongoing safety planning, and more. This position is also responsible for community development and collaborations, program outcome management, and assisting with collaboration meetings. This position is required to work some holidays, and will be on an on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in social work or a related field, or equivalent experience in advocacy
• Strong organization, interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with a diverse population

• Knowledge of domestic violence and trauma informed care preferred
