Job Title: CNC Programmer and Operator

Job Description

Our Client is a leading global manufacturer of high-performance thermoplastic materials in the form of semi-finished products and finished parts. The company operates in 20 countries with more than 2,800 employees. Specializing in superior thermoplastics and composites, the company serves a wide range of applications primarily in the capital goods industry. This role is responsible for programming, set-up, and production processes for prototype, complex, and tight tolerance parts. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring efficient production processes, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a clean and orderly production area.

Responsibilities

  • Program CNC machines for new parts and optimize existing programs.

  • Write programs for prototype, complex, and tight tolerance parts.

  • Read work order, flow sheets, and part drawings to determine job requirements.

  • Develop machining processes focused on automation and high-speed manufacturing.

  • Design, create, and manufacture advanced fixtures for use with or without automation.

  • Design and create custom tool holders, cutters, and work-holding solutions.

  • Oversee projects from start to finish, including programming, setup, troubleshooting, and production.

  • Proficient with SolidWorks and Mastercam.

  • Proficient with 5-axis programming and operation.

  • Measure parts using manual inspection tools for first article parts and in-process inspections.

  • Diagnose production issues and make program edits at the machine when required.

  • Log time and job details using ERP software.

  • Load and verify tools, fixtures, and programs.

  • Set up 3, 4, and 5 axis machines.

  • Abide by and support all safety, 5S, and quality system requirements.

  • Communicate effectively to ensure successful completion of production jobs.

  • Complete any other duties as directed.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC Machining.

  • Proficiency in blueprint reading.

  • Experience using manual inspection gauges.

  • Skill in writing and revising CNC programs.

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Mastercam.

  • Experience with 5-axis programming and operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience as a machining lead is ideal.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $37.00/hr.
