CLAY COUNTY DIST 53 SCH School Bus Driver in Liberty, Missouri

School Bus Drivers safeguard students during transport to and from school and/or special events, and while loading and unloading from buses.School Bus Drivers regularly check the vehicle to ensure safe operating condition, and that students are greeted with a friendly and welcoming smile.

No experience is needed. Paid Training and CDL testing.

This is a 10-month position. School Bus Drivers are eligible for benefits as listed below.

Hours

Monday through Friday

Split Shift, 5:30 am - 8:30/9:30 am

and 1:45 pm to 4:30/5:30 pm

Hours may vary depending on the route and inclement weather

Opportunity to pick up extra hours driving for trips/events - evenings and/or weekends. (Optional)

Job Duties

Maintain safe and appropriate behavior of all riders by following established guidelines.

Assess incidents, complaints, accidents and potential emergencies (e.g. road hazards, medical emergencies, accidents, etc.)

Assists students and other passengers with safe loading and unloading from buses during transport and emergencies.

Perform routine cleaning on both the interior and exterior.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (e.g. gauge levels, exterior condition, etc.) that meet safety operation standards.

Prepare written and verbal reports within the requested deadlines. (e.g. field trip reports, incident reports, inspections records, passenger misconduct, mileage logs, student counts, routing information, etc.)

Requirements

Must have a current Missouri Drivers License, with a clean driving record.
