Itron is seeking a Principal Test and Validation Architect to join our cross-functional, global team. This key position is primarily responsible for evaluating, proposing, and documenting the overall test strategy for our products and solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of how we deliver test and validation coverage, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Duties and Responsibilities: Strategic Planning:Evaluate, propose, and document the overall test strategy for our products and solutions. Collaboration:Work closely with hardware, firmware, software, test, and systems teams early in the product development lifecycle to ensure that the architecture and design align with the organization's testability and supportability goals. Coordination:Coordinate across all verification and validation teams to ensure optimized integration, functional, performance, and reliability test coverage across products and the end-to-end solution space. Holistic Systems View:Drive future strategies for providing comprehensive test and validation coverage for components and systems from a holistic systems perspective. Required Skills and Experience: 7+ years of provenexperience in a similar role within a cross-functional, global team. Strong background in hardware, firmware, software, and systems testing. Technicalexpertise in IoT based technologies for wired and wireless protocols. Technical expertise in solutions developed for the utility industry. Demonstrated knowledge of waterfall and agile product development methodologies. Excellent communication and coordination skills to effectively collaborate with various teams. Ability to drive strategic initiatives and influence future test and validation strategies.
