We are looking to extend our Cloud Infrastructure Team (consists of Software, Infrastructure, and System Engineers) with a technical lead to develop and operate the infrastructure elements of the Itron DevOps Environment, which is hosted in the US, Canada, Europe, India, and Australia on Azure Kubernetes Services, Service Fabric cluster, and Azure App Services, that are protected by industry-standard firewalls. The infrastructure and configuration are maintained as code to increase development, integration, and deployment efficiency with fully automated CI/CD and Operation processes. The team will have two engineers in the US and collaborate closely with European and Asia Pacific teams. Duties & Responsibilities Develop Infrastructure as Code in the following domains: Azure DevOps CI/CD (build and release automation) Azure IaaS/PaaS/SaaS/Networking Microservices & Containerization Monitoring and Alerting Cloud Security & Identity management Oversee the architecture of the IDE Infrastructure Help the team and the product management with technical strategy and vision Mentor junior engineers Ensure code quality and best practices Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business needs Required Skills & Experience Experience working in a DevOps culture Experience with Agile Methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) Knowledge of the main principles of developing Cloud environments CI/CD tooling knowledge Scripting/coding experience in Python, Terraform and Ansible Experience with Network Engineering and Firewalls (such as F5 BIG-IP and FortiGate next-generation firewall) Interests in high availability / high-performance systems architecture Preferred Skills & Experience Experience in Software and/or Web Application Development Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD tooling knowledge Experience with Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Networking) Experience with Docker / Kubernetes or other orchestration frameworks Scripting/coding experience in C#, PowerShell, Bash, or similar shell Knowledge of the concept of microservices Education Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience Itron is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce and providing an authentic workplace experience for all employees.
