We are seeking a pricing strategist, analyst, modeler who is analytical, inquisitive to learn, understands systems and processes and loves pricing and analytics. Job Duties & Responsibilities: This role will establish price standards, strategies, and performance; build organizational capabilities and communicates key pricing insights and recommendations to Senior Leadership and other relevant business partners. This position offers professional growth opportunities that resonate beyond pricing and financial analytics. Retrieve, consolidate, analyze and summarize data from very large data sets using SQL/Excel. Provide analysis and technical support for pricing initiatives that include setting list prices, establishing customer specific discounts and identify product conversion opportunities. Develop tools in SQL and excel to help businesses set strategic prices in the market, implement pricing improvement programs, and report financial impact. Cross Functional Role: Collaborate with Product Management in the adoption of standards for price/cost books; Represent Sales team in establishing pricing across product lines; Support Manufacturing, Delivery, Managed Services, and Finance in determining appropriate cost assumptions, ensuring that costs are accurate in our pricing models; Manage communication of changes on pricing calculators back to Pricing & Proposal teams. Drive training, usage and expansion of pricing tools across regional Pricing teams Knowledge of CPQ systems such as Salesforce, Conga preferred. Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Sales, and Product teams to align pricing to Itron global standards. Evaluate price-volume tradeoffs of deals and provide reporting to management Assists team in optimizing customer pricing. Perform analysis and prepare executive-level reports of findings. Perform ad hoc data analysis for business units, customer, products and vendors. Qualifications: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (data science, engineering, mathematics, statistics) Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 4+ years and an advanced degree or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred Experience with in-depth financial modeling as well as strong analytical problem-solving skills, including data handling and programming skills Excellent analytical capabilities including SQL, Excel and relational database skills Proven ability to drive projects to completion within tight deadlines across cross functional teams and through uncertainty Experience using and/or deploying B2B pricing tools preferred A passion for understanding pricing strategies and execution methodologies in a manufacturing and/or distribution business Ability to work cross-functionally and optimally influence and partner Strong communication skills, able to communicate with both a technical and commercial audience interchangeably Self-starter, well organized, flexible, and motivated to grow Itron's business Travel: 1 - 10% Physical Demands: This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.
