Growing manufacturer in Liberal, KS is seeking a VP of Manufacturing to oversee plant operations. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience leading a manufacturing plant and a welding carbon and stainless steel background. Must have CWI certification, NACE 1 or higher. Experience managing production schedules and maintaining high quality and on-time delivery required, as well as proven leadership abilities. Degree preferred but will consider welding experience as equivalent. Some regional travel required, about 25%. Excellent bonus, benefits and relocation!

responsibilities:

• Leads supervise and direct all employees in the facility

• Plans and assigns work; implements policies and procedures

• recommends improvements in production methods, safety, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

• Builds a culture of operational excellence and performance

• Ensures the plant is prepared with capital expenditure planning and organizational capacity planning

• Interact with CEO and executive team to ensure priorities and company direction are aligned

Requirements:

• Proven leadership abilities required

• 8-10 years of solid plant operational management experience

• Demonstrated abilities and expertise with welding and steel coating (5-7 years of experience)

• Fabrication with ASME vessels

• strong analytical skills and leadership abilities

• Previous plant management

• B.S. in Engineering or Welding or commensurate experience

• CWI Certification required

• bilingual Spanish preferred
