Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Employee Health Specialist, Part Time in Libby, Montana

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for an Employee Health Specialist to join our Hospital team!

The Employee Health Specialist is responsible for overseeing and implementing programs and initiatives that promote and ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the organization's employees. This role involves conducting health assessments, managing workplace injuries, and leading wellness programs to enhance employee health and productivity.

Major Job Duties & Responsibilities

Health Assessments: Conduct regular health screenings and assessments for employees to monitor their health status and identify potential health risks.

Injury Management: Manage and coordinate the response to workplace injuries, including first aid, medical referrals, and follow-up care.

Wellness Programs: Develop and implement wellness programs and initiatives to promote healthy lifestyles among employees.

Health Education: Provide health education and resources to employees on topics such as nutrition, exercise, stress management, and disease prevention.

Occupational Health Compliance: Ensure compliance with occupational health regulations and standards, maintaining accurate health records and documentation.

Collaboration: Work closely with HR, safety officers, and management to create a safe and healthy work environment that includes pre-hire screening for both employed and contracted labor.

Health Promotion: Organize health fairs, workshops, and seminars to raise awareness about health and wellness topics.

Vaccination Programs: Coordinate and manage vaccination programs, including flu shots and other immunizations relevant to the workplace.

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage health programs.

Knowledge of health regulations and standards.

Schedule

Part-time, non-exempt (20 hours a week).

Schedule will be based on needs of the hospital but typically Monday-Friday, day shift.

Education Requirements

Degree in Nursing (LPN, ASN, etc.), Public Health or related field, or a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Experience

Previous experience in employee health, public health, or a clinical setting is preferred.
