Position Summary

Mag is looking for a Software Engineer you will design, develop, and evaluate code for real time modeling of environmental factors in a distributed battlespace simulation. This software is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats. NGTS is a highly advanced virtual training system offering Navy and Air Force pilots the ability to train in a mission setting. You will be supporting the Global Reusable Interface Domain (GRID) team.

Must be a US Citizen

This position has a Hybrid option.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Design, develop, and evaluate code for real time modeling of environmental factors in a distributed battlespace simulation.

• Collaborating with team members.

• Interfacing with sensor models.

• Analyzing and profiling program performance.

• Working with industry, SMEs, and operators to push the state of the art in simulation used for platform Operational Test and high-end training.

Knowledge and Skills

• Must have the ability to accommodate a hybrid schedule (1 week per quarter; every 3 months) onsite support at Pax River (Managers discretion).

Experience

• 3 Years Experience

Education

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering.

• Degrees in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or Aerospace, Computer, Software Systems, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering may qualify as substitute.

Desired Requirements

• Experience with Linux, Git, modeling/simulation, distributed systems, statistics, college level calculus-based physics, linear algebra.

• Basics of signal processing, control theory, information theory are also a plus.

Clearance

• Must be able to obtain a maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

C++, Python, Parallel processing, multi-threading, networking, inter-process communication, CUDA, distributed systems.
