POSITION OVERVIEW (Job Summary):

We are currently seeking a Quality Coordinator Technician to help us ensure that non-conforming products do not continue through the production process and are not distributed to customers. In this role, you will conduct routine quality inspections throughout production, including in-process and final inspections. During these inspections, you will use a variety of precision measuring tools to ensure that products follow specifications. You will also perform equipment calibrations and perform workstation audits. Applicants should have some manufacturing or machine shop experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • None

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Conduct routine quality inspections throughout the production or manufacturing process, including in-process and final inspections

  • Perform equipment calibrations

  • Perform workstation audits

  • Maintain documentation of all inspections and potential issues

  • Assist with problem resolution

  • Suggest process improvements

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  •   Analytical thinking, and problem-solving.

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Associate degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)

  • Manufacturing or machine shop experience preferred

  • Ability to read technical drawings

  • Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers

  • Attention to detail

  • At least two years related experience required.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 35lbs at a time.

  • Prolonged periods of standing,

  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping

  • Withstand uncontrolled environment, winter, summer, spring, fall seasons in a manufacturing atmosphere.
