Job Summary and Qualifications

Supervises and provides general direction of the daily activities of Respiratory Services and related ancillary departments under his/her direct control. Duties include medical gas administration, aerosol therapy, obtaining and analyzing blood specimens, performing patient testing, operating and maintaining various types of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment, providing mechanical ventilation, maintaining artificial airways, assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, providing patient education, monitoring equipment and patient responses to therapy. Additional responsibilities include completing documentation in patient and departmental records, cleaning equipment, and maintaining safety and infection control practices. The supervisor will also assist the Director of Ancillary Services with budgeting, staffing, and productivity goals.

What qualifications you will need:

• RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP)

• State Registered Respiratory Therapist

• Associate Degree

• 3 years of hospital respiratory therapy exprience

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR
