Robert Half Paralegal in Lexington, Massachusetts

Description

We are looking for a Paralegal to join our team in Winchester, Massachusetts. This role involves a wide range of tasks related to the legal field and requires a strong understanding of case management software, Adobe Acrobat, LexisNexis, and Microsoft Excel. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including managing calendars, handling complaints, and administering claims. This role is ideal for someone with experience in estate planning and probate & estate administration.

Responsibilities:

• Perform billing functions and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded

• Prepare legal briefings and other documentation as required

• Manage calendars and schedule appointments for legal team

• Administer and manage claims, ensuring all relevant documentation is accurately filed

• Handle customer complaints, providing timely and appropriate responses

• Assist in estate planning activities, including drafting wills and trusts

• Apply knowledge of estate law to assist in probate & estate administration processes

• Maintain management systems to ensure all legal case information is up to date.

• Utilize Adobe Acrobat, Case Management Software, LexisNexis, and Microsoft Excel to perform daily tasks

Requirements

• Possession of a degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies from an accredited institution

• Experience in case management software

• Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis

• Ability to operate and manage a management system

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in billing functions within a legal environment

• Ability to prepare legal briefing documents

• Proficiency in calendar management

• Experience in claim administration

• Ability to handle complaints professionally and effectively

• Knowledge of estate planning procedures and principles

• Familiarity with estate law

• Experience in probate & estate administration

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality

• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

• Estate settlement experience strongly preferred.
