Physical Requirements | Primarily office setting with frequent movement relative to student life and related meetings i.e. walking frequently on and off campus. Working in venues for special events. Occasional lifting and moving related to special event production. |
Shift | 8:00 am-5:00 pm; 40 hours and Evening and Weekend commitments are typical. |
Job Summary | The Office of Student Organizations and Activities (SOA) is committed to a mission of inspiring students to explore the opportunities at UK through the building of skills, relationships, experiences, and interests to make a real-world impact. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Student Organization Advisor to join our team and contribute to the development and facilitation of innovative programs focused on student success. The Assistant Director for Student Government position portfolio currently includes but is not limited to:

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Student personnel programming; knowledge of student development theory/applications; student advisement in a co-curricular collegiate setting. |

Preferred Education/Experience | Masters in Higher Education Administration/College Student Personnel or related field with 1-3 years related experience in student personnel/student affairs working with student governance, leadership development, and student programming. Qualifying equivalency of Bachelors degree and 3 years related student service and/or customer service experience is considered. Driver’s license preferred. |
