Schneider Electric USA, Inc Quality Technician - Incoming Inspection Weekend shift in Lexington, Kentucky

What will you do?
Inspect and approve incoming material by confirming engineering specifications, conducting visual and/or measurement tests. Includes rejecting and returning unacceptable material if applicable.
Create comprehensive documentation for non-conforming material to ensure corrective actions internally and at the supplier
Facilitate training to help educate production members on quality non-conformances. Work with cross functional team to ensure overall company product safety and product quality
Manage measurement tools within incoming inspection lab. In addition, lead calibration efforts within facility for all measurement tools and/or gages to ensure ISO 9K compliance
Utilize digital tools to ensure quality inspections are being complete with corrective actions identified and implemented.
Draft quality assurance policies and procedures
Interpret and implement quality assurance standards
Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data
Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality
Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues
Collect and compile statistical quality data
Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions
Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers
Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
Monitor risk management activities
Responsible for document management systems
Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements

What qualifications will make you successful?
High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred but not required
C ertifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma
Quality inspection, auditing and test experience
Experience with implementation of corrective action programs
Product or industry-specific experience
Strong computer skills including, SAP, Microsoft Office, and Databases
Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA
Knowledge of how to read blue print drawings
Knowledge of basic measurement tools such as calipers, pin gages, micrometer, etc
Ability to speak and read English fluently
