This executive leadership role will lead and be accountable for the implementation of the business strategies for the accelerated and profitable growth of the USA heavy duty product sales for the direct and OEM sales channels. In addition, this person is a leader and collaborator in developing the strategic vision for heavy duty sales through all channels – DIY/Retail, CPS, and LDDS within North America.

Efforts of this role will be focused on managing and leading the vision and priorities that enable the delivery of our value proposition for and growing our volume to mid-sized and large direct sold light duty and heavy-duty customers (fleets, transit, construction, vocational) across the USA. This person’s area of responsibility extends to ensuring that sales execution strategies are in place to nurture and grow our HD OEM current and future partnerships, specifically growth through the Cummins channels.

Success will be determined through the safe operation of the team, growth-oriented mindset, improvement in team skill, highly accountable team culture, significant HD growth, customer retention, increasing sales and volumes to existing customers, and maximize profits through penetration of our "family of brands" sales. Driving accountability for consistency results and timeliness of key channel deliverables is key.

This role will provide essential leadership, oversight, and development for the entire heavy-duty and OEM directs old channel which includes (1) owning the top relationships of large national fleets and OEM partners (2) coordinating with supply chain, finance, business development, pricing, marketing, and other sales channels to ensure a One Valvoline approach (2) nurturing and growing our top heavy duty direct customers and HD OEM’s (3) ensuring that we deliver on our plan commitments for volume, operating profits, and return on sales objectives.

Job Duties:

  • Deployment of effective team communications, managing high level customer relationships, strategy execution, profit and loss decisions, forecasting, and safety practices.

  • Setting of clear expectations consistent with the Installer Channel objectives and tool usage and holding teams accountable for growth and improvement of customer success metrics.

  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure resource needs are met and support requirements are fulfilled. Improving communication and processes to accelerate share growth and further the ease of doing business with Valvoline.

  • Developing, planning, communicating yearly business budgets, and presenting strategic plans to senior executives.

  • Accountability for the P&L for the HD Direct Sales and HD OEM channels across the USA.

  • Provide leadership and coaching to team and assist in maintaining key relationships with critical customer’s top executives. Negotiate, execute, and manage contracts. Leadership to consistent and thorough, clear messaging and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
