Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Avion Hospitality. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing and directing engineering projects, as well as holding relevant certifications in their field.

Responsibilities:

– Lead and manage the engineering team to ensure successful project completion

– Develop and implement engineering strategies and plans to achieve company goals

– Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering projects

– Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

– Manage project budgets and timelines

– Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members

– Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements

Job Requirements:

– High school diploma or GED; 6-years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 4-years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.

– Relevant certifications in Engineering (e.g. Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, etc.)

– Proven track record of success in managing and directing hotel maintenance projects

– Strong leadership and management skills

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Ability to work collaboratively with other departments

– Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

– Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements
