Job Summary

Analysis and data are key information that is required to support the Powertrain Definition & Integration team in the decision-making process to come to the best powertrain solution for the PACCAR vehicle customer, under the nameplates Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF. The main topic is to identify the key KPI’s for all real-life customer applications in the PACCAR databases to direct technical solutions and roadmaps. For example, the determination of an average road cycle collective for full electric line haul vehicles for Fuel Cell powertrain concepts.

This position is located in Lewisville, Texas.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Analyze , interpret , and convert PACCAR available vehicle data from different databases (field test data, connected truck data, fleet management data, service databases, etc.) and public databases (traffic, climate, road data, transport, etc.) into valuable information for Powertrain Definition & Integration developments.

• Performing simulations and analyses on fuel /energy consumption and CO2 emissions on vehicle and total fleet level.

• Processing the analyses to conclusions and concept recommendations including reporting on technical as well as management level.

• Aligning the activities and deliverables with the main stakeholders

  Qualifications / Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Automotive Engineering, or a related field is required.

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience

• Proven affinity/experience with data analytics and preferred with a utomotive t echnolog ies ;

• Excellent analytical skills

• Knowledge and experience with Python / R (or similar) and specific data analytics tools ( i.e. Tableau, Power BI, SQL) , and MATLAB.

• Effective communication skills in the Dutch and English language.
