Aston Carter Staff Accountant in Lewisville, Texas

Responsibilities

  • Research payments that are already posted

  • Reconcile payment discrepancies and double payments

  • Utilize pivot tables and v-LOOKUPs to research invoices

  • Research multiple payment opportunities, payment history, and return check payment

  • Analyzing intercompany transactions

  • Assisting with month-end close process

  • Processing journal entries

  • Communication with multiple entities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

  • 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience

  • Ability to self-motivate, detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

  • Possesses fundamental accounting knowledge

  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and process improvement skills

  • Strong communication skills, must be able to work and communicate with different departments across the company

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-LOOKUPs for a large volume of data
