POSITION DESCRIPTION:

JOB TITLE:                    Operations Specialist

DEPARTMENT:             Distribution Center

LOCATION:                 Lewisville, TX - MUST be located in the UNITED STATES.

STATUS:                        Full time

Other:                         Bilingual in Spanish is a MUST.  Must be able to read, write, and                                      speak SPANISH.     

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Operations Specialist will be responsible in  organizing and ensuring that the safety programs, safety trainings, procedures, and all necessary requirements are followed. Responsible for the safety of the personnel and property of the workplace.  This person  will also be the responsible for supporting the distribution center in process, improvements, maintenance, workload management and efficient operational needs, including but not limited to: all in-out inventoried product and accuracy inventory, supervise the work of the people in the warehouse and picking line to ensure the orders deliver on time.

They will be responsible to follow up all the KPIs implemented in the areas and report them on weekly and monthly basis to the operations manager.

  • Stop any activity that puts the integrity of staff at risk, environment, or equipment.

  • Develop safety policies and procedures.

  • Work closely with HSE Jafra Mexico to implement and defined procedures in DC Dallas.

  • Assist in planning and delegation of work assignments, orientation of new employees and overseeing the workflow of the distribution and warehousing area.

  • Maintain KPI reports to monitor, report and analyze business activity regarding performance of the distribution center in terms of quality & process time.

  • Acceptance or rejection of activities carried out that were requested under its management in accordance with security compliance, quality, effectiveness, or any applicable requirement.

  • Stop any activity that puts the integrity of staff at risk, environment, or equipment.

  • Determine the scope of the contracted service policies in accordance with legal requirements such as OSHA.

  • Attending inspections by the health authorities, Safety, and the environment (OSHA, EPA).

  • Determine the scope of the policies for services contracted for preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.

  • Execute the receiving plan for truck loads and UPS deliveries in SAP for new product inventory coming into the warehouse. Provide follow-up with logistics if   discrepancies are identified.

  • Assuring the accuracy of current stock on Pick to light, warehousing, replenishment and put-a-way material.

  • Work closely with operations manager to analyze the forecast, perform the product line balancing and generate the weekly work plans.

  • Create corrective action plans to capture the details of the corrective action to be taken to rectify the non-conformance.

  • Recommending and implementing solutions to safety issues.

  • Follow-up on policies for equipment and services (Forklifts, fixed fire protection systems, compressors, electrical services, conveyor belts, storage equipment, etc.).

  • Work closely with operations manager to analyze the forecast, perform the product line balancing and generate the weekly work plans.

  • Coordinate with warehouse clerk, the internal audits for all the cycle count and   define when some of them must be counted again to ensure and maintain the IRA target.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION :

    HSE: Safety, Bachelor's Degree. Preferably in Mechanical Engineering, and/or Industrial Engineering.

    SKILLS :

    High-risk Jobs as applicable, use of forklifts.

LOTO, Asset Management through preventive maintenance.

EXPERIENCE :

Contractor Supplier Management, Training on a variety of topics (general services)

Other: Must be able to maintain a high degree of professionalism regarding confidential employee information, conflict resolution, delegation, great communication, integrity, and problem solving skills.
