Our company is searching for experience candidates for the position of tow truck driver.  Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications.  While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifiications, but have sufficient experience and talent.  

Responsibilities for tow truck driver

• Other duties as assigned such as completing paperwork and may include condition report writing
• Deploy to catastrophic events within 24 hours when directed to do so
• Safely operatores a service vehicle such as a tow truck, wrecker, flat bed or battery service truck in accordance with established standards and procedures
• Ensures member safety and vehicle security
• Takes the necessary action to place the vehicle back into operation
• Tows disabled vehicles to repair facilities or other member-requested destinations
• Experience and/or training in automotive repair and towing equipment
• Excellent customer service abilities with outstanding interpersonal skills
• Must possess valid State vehicle driver's license (with towing endorsement, if required by state)
• Successful completion of a DOT physical, background check and drug test

Qualifications for tow truck driver

• Must meet background screening criteria
• Minimum of 1-year towing and/or load securement experience in the last 5 years 
• Must possess at least a valid Class C Driver's License issued by your state of residence
• Must be a least 21 years of age
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Minimum of 1 year of experience driving a commerical vehicle and/or certified from accredited commerical driving school
