Summary:

To provide a physical plant that will support all other departments in the provision of optimum achievable clinical and environmental services in support of the mission of the Hospitals. This includes the furnishing of heat, light, power, and maintenance services. In addition, it includes planning, designing and constructing improvements to the physical plant and its equipment. Directs the overall operation of the Facilities Engineering Departments of Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lockport Memorial Hospital and all off-sites. Drives performance and is accountable for directing and coordinating the complete and efficient operations in compliance with the JCAHO and regulatory guidelines for, safety, health, and the environment. Administers day-to-day operations; participates in the budgeting process; and oversees major projects and renovations.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

• Associates Degree Building Management and Maintenance required

• B.S. or B.A. Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE

• Ten (10) years of Facilities/Engineering health care experience with Associates Degree

• Eight (8) years of healthcare experience with BS or BA Degree

• Three (3) to five (5) years managerial experience required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Strong Leadership and managerial skills

• Strong Microsoft Office skill set

• CAD software experience preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
