Covenant Health ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES TECHNICIAN II in Lewiston, Maine

St. Mary's Health System, a member of Covenant Health, is searching for a utility worker to join our Environmental services team. The Utility Worker plays a key role in maintaining a pleasant, clean and safe physical environment by performing floor care and other related environmental services tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleans, strips, refinishes and buffs floors using appropriate chemicals and various pieces of equipment such as low and high-speed buffers, auto scrubbers, and wet vacs

  • Cleans and washes walls and ceilings using appropriate cleaning solutions and ladders as needed

  • Collects all trash and transports it to the appropriate compactor

  • Reports and makes out requisitions for needed repairs

    Education and Requirements:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Great customer relation skills

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities at once

  • May require working evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
