Job Title: Steel Erector

Job Description

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Iron Workers to join our construction team. As an Iron Worker/Steel Erector, you will play a crucial role in steel erection, insulation, and metal sheeting for commercial projects. This position requires a strong understanding of blueprints, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the materials and processes required for each project.

• Measure, cut, and bend steel components to the required specifications using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.

• Assemble and install steel frameworks and metal sheets using welding, bolting, and riveting techniques.

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.

• Collaborate with other construction workers, foremen, and project managers to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Essential Skills

• Experience in construction, structural steel, and steel erection.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• 3+ years of relevant experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.

• Strong understanding of welding, bolting, and riveting techniques.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Work Environment

Work both indoors and outdoors. Tasks will involve working on lifts no higher than 40 feet. Depending on the project, you will work with both small and large teams. Standard shift is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milton, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
