The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a talented Electronics Technician to join our team in Levittown, Puerto Rico and support our critical AMOC program. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain operations of Local Area (LAN), Wide Area (WAN) and virtual private networks (VPN) for Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Customs & Border Protection (CBP) Air & Marine Operations Center (AMOC) systems and circuits.

  • Provides junior level system administration for the Caribbean Air and Marine Operations Center (AMOC) computer systems to maintain a smooth operation of multi-user radar surveillance systems.

  • Reset switches and other controls to restore computer systems to an operational state.

  • Coordinates activities with a diverse set of geographically dispersed users, network technicians, communications, and facility personnel.

  • Monitor disk usage, remove unneeded and temporary files, and rebuild root and option drives for workstations.

  • File manipulation (copy, move, ownership, permissions, and configuration).

  • Setup and configure peripheral equipment e.g. printers, modems, hubs, switches, and RAIDs.

  • Performs preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of specialized radar processing hardware and associated networks and equipment.

  • Maintain Avaya G430 Telephone switches.

  • Maintain Dell Computer Systems, servers and workstations.

  • Maintain AVTEC DSPatch 640 Communications Switching System.

  • Maintain National Law Enforcement Communications Center (NLECC) VHF Radio Internet Protocol System (RIPS).

  • Maintain various personal computer and peripherals and various electronic, optical and mechanical equipment .

  • Assist various Telephone Companies (ATT, Verizon, Sprint, Claro PR, WorldNet PR, Liberty PR). in fault isolation.

  • Accept technical direction from Senior Electronics Technicians, System Engineer and other senior technical personnel including persons from other companies.

  • Complete special projects as assigned and schedules.

  • Understand data flow from DMarc to operations workstation.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Must be able to successfully pass and maintain a Customs & Border Protection (CBP) Background Investigation (BI).

  • Must already have and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance (minimum).

  • Must be in good physical health (lift and carry equipment).

  • Must be able to pull tile, run cable in both overhead and under floor cable trays.

  • Familiar with pulling and terminating data cables (copper, Cat 6, fiber-optics).

  • Successfully complete annual Technical Certifications.

  • Verifiable work experience.

  • Work Rotating Shift 5/16/365 & no-notice overtime.

  • Some Travel may be required (10% or less).

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Desired:

  • Prefer candidates with college level or military Electronic Technology education or experience.

  • Currently reside in the Levittown, Puerto Rico area.

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$39,500 - $79,000
