Butler America Junior Cost Accountant in Lenexa, Kansas

Junior Cost Accountant Location: Lenexa, KS Job ID: #69536 6 month contract Pay Range: $37-43 Hiring for an Junior Cost Accountant to assist the Cost Accountant in Lenexa MRO to provide finance support for the local MRO management team. This role is onsite in Lenexa, KS. Primary Responsibilities: • Responsible for maintaining and updating standard costs in the system • Monitors labor efficiency metrics and working closely with operations to drive improvements • Root cause analysis and corrective action on production variances • Ensure fidelity of warranty recharge processes • Collect, input, track and reconcile MRO manufacturing costs, labor, and other expenses • Analysing cost variances • Headcount forecasting and planning • Assists with capital expenditure and justification • Monthly Closeout processes to include general ledger balancing and reporting • Audit, track and monitor inventory cycle count program • Other related duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: • Requires a University Degree and minimum 3 years prior relevant experience • U.S.Citizen Preferred Qualifications: • Systems Knowledge - Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, JDE, SAP & HFM experience • Knowledge of Aerospace Industry • Good analytical skills & Problem Solver • Action Oriented - A flexible thinker and worker who is goal driven • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers • Strong business acumen with an emphasis on an ability to leverage technical expertise to ensure efficient cost structure and financial compliance. • Ability to work (in a team environment) with multiple teams from various aspects of the business. • Ability & judgment to plan; organize and accomplish goals. • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills along with good presentation skills. • Willingness to tackle and resolve issues • Ability to interface with all levels of management and employees Benefits provided: 401K, medical, dental, and vision, sick time as applicable to state law Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is proud to provide an equal opportunity workplace and be an affirmative action employer.
