Job Description

Performance Contracting Group is seeking a full-time paid intern to support the Accounting Department during the summer of 2025 at our corporate headquarters in Lenexa, KS . As a key member of the Accounting department, this role is responsible for assisting with the following:

• Assist with preparing our accounting for audits

• Create journal entries

• Ensure all journal entries are accounted for

• Verify that proper support systems are in place

• Scan journal entries into an electronic format

• Assist with day-to-day financial analysis

Please note, this internship will run the course of 10 weeks during the summer of 2025. During that period, working hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Requirements

Basic Requirements:

• Must be in pursuit of an undergraduate Accounting degree during the summer of 2025

• Must be available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for ten weeks during the summer of 2025

• Must have completed introductory college-level Accounting courses

• Ability to work well in a team environment through effective collaboration

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and/or Teams

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines consistently

• Customer service-oriented and able to maintain a professional demeanor

• Display strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Requirements:

• Local to the KC Metro area

• Currently in third or fourth year of undergraduate program preferred
