CPS Warehouse Supervisor in Lehighton, Pennsylvania

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management:
    • Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff involved in loading operations.
    • Schedule and coordinate shifts to ensure adequate staffing levels.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Loading Operations:
    • Oversee the loading of pallets onto flatbed trailers and into shipping containers.
    • Ensure all loads are secured and meet safety standards.
    • Coordinate with the logistics team to manage loading schedules and priorities.
  • Paperwork and Documentation:
    • Verify and process all paperwork related to loading activities, including shipping manifests, load sheets, and bills of lading.
    • Maintain accurate records of loaded shipments.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
    • Address and resolve any safety concerns or violations promptly.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels to ensure accurate loading and shipment.
    • Coordinate with the inventory control team to resolve discrepancies.
    • Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.
  • Communication:
    • Liaise with other departments, such as production, quality control, and transportation, to ensure smooth operations.
    • Provide regular updates to the Warehouse Manager on loading activities and any issues.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
    • Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, particularly loading and shipping procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving throughout the warehouse.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, if necessary.
