DESCRIPTION OF WORK The primary responsibility of this role is to provide administrative support to Beltzville State Park, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently for both staff and the public. This includes typing up various forms of correspondence, reports, and other documents using a combination of prior knowledge, handwritten drafts, and verbal instructions. Additionally, the position is responsible for issuing permits for watercraft launching and mooring, as well as collecting and managing payments for these permits. The role also involves reserving picnic pavilions through a computer program and handling the associated financial transactions. Furthermore, the position is responsible for processing parking ticket payments, including entering the relevant information into the computer system. Another important task is managing the daily mail, which involves date stamping, opening, reviewing, and forwarding it to the appropriate staff members for further action. The position also handles outgoing mail, ensuring that it is properly prepared for postage. Additionally, the role involves compiling a monthly report on fuel replenishments and dispersals for park vehicles and equipment, which is then reviewed and approved by the park manager. The position also compiles and forwards monthly automotive logs to the Automotive Office using a computer system. Answering phone calls and screening them, as well as forwarding calls or messages to the appropriate staff members, is another important aspect of this role. Finally, the position is responsible for preparing routine press releases.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time, Seasonal employment without benefits. Work hours are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Saturday - Wednesday, with a 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
