Seasonal Parks Laborer

CLOSING DATE: Open Until Filled

PAY RANGE: $13.52 - $16.23 (depending on experience)

SCHEDULE: Monday - Thursday OR Friday - Sunday

Hours range from 6 am to 4:30 pm (Schedule to be determined at interview.)

DEPARTMENT: Parks

JOB SUMMARY

Performs a variety of duties related to the maintenance of:

• Park Grounds
• Sports Fields
• Irrigation Systems
• Trails
• Open space
• Trees and plants
• Maintaining and cleaning restrooms and pavilions

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience preferred in caring for grounds with a wide range of skills.
• Including but not limited to general landscaping and irrigation work.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to communicate.
• Ability to learn to operate and maintain maintenance equipment such as mowers, chain saws, pruning equipment, and hand tools.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervisor, co-workers and the public.
• Must pass a back ground and drug test.
• Must be 16 years old or older (Preference will be given to applicants 18 and older with a valid driver's license).
