Custom Design and Fabrication Substitute Instructor
Location: Lehi, UT
Status: Part-time, as needed.
Hours: (Days) Monday - Friday, (Times) 7:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.
Pay / Hourly: $26.49
SUMMARY
As a Custom Design and Fabrication Substitute Instructor, you will provide instruction to students on practices of metal fabrication when instructor is absent. Your focus will be on helping students develop the skills they need to be job ready. SMAW or FCAW welding certifications or equivalent industry experience required. RESPONSIBILITIES
Take necessary precautions to ensure an effective and safe level of direct supervision of students in the labs and classrooms.
Effectively instruct students in metal fabrication.
Ensure students achieve educational objectives and are evaluated appropriately according to knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Assess student progress toward meeting graduation requirements.
Model and teach good work habits and professional conduct.
Assist students in the use, care, and safety of program equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Must possess welding certifications or equivalent industry experience for SMAW and FCAW processes
Minimum five years' experience in fitting practice prior to entering the position
Demonstrate ongoing continuing education in the field of custom design, fabrication, welding and/or education
