Summary:

In this role, you will collaborate with other departments and our creative teams to develop and deliver content for customer marketing channels with the goal of creating engaging educational content that amplifies Vivint’s brand. Our collective mission is to connect with our 2M customer base by educating them on how to control their smart home, rewarding them for loyalty, teaching them the value of upgrading or adding to their system and celebrating life events caught on their Vivint cameras.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Copywriting, drafting, editing - short-form and long-form content customized for our customer personas and segments.

  • Create content that balances robust product information with convincing and engaging copy.

  • Write copy for a brand identity that is modern and differentiating and conveys a strong story.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to establish and articulate internal and external key messages, and ensure content is aligned accordingly.

  • Use consumer analytics to determine the best way to engage users, increase customer loyalty, generate leads, and measure brand awareness.

  • Collaborate with the design team to balance copy with design.

  • Work with stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into messaging.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to intake data and insights to develop and implement a content and engagement strategy.

  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and thrive under pressure and deadlines

  • Ability to work across large cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Strong written and verbal skills including the ability to check and edit grammar.

  • Experience with design tools (Figma, etc.) to turn copy into customer-facing messaging for platform tools.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Proven track record of effective and impactful content creation

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Figma experience (optional)

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
