GEHA Associate ETL Developer in Lee's Summit, Missouri

The Associate Developer designs, develops, implements and supports database development to meet business needs of GEHA and subsidiaries. Designs and develops data transformations using SSIS. Works closely with the Business Data Analysts and architect to design solutions for implementation.

Skills

  • Analyzes and implements ETL development solutions to meet the business needs. May use tools such as the following: MS Visual Studio, SQL Server, SSIS, Azure, ADF.

  • Consults with analysts and technical staff, determines needs and designs ETL/ELT solutions for more complex problems. Suggest alternate approaches to meet user needs.

  • Engineers/designs, documents and solves complex solutions with oversight from the Senior Developer, Architect, and Data Governance

  • Communicates project progress and status to the Team

  • Responsible for troubleshooting, debugging ETL/ELT and creating unit tests.

  • Creates technical documentation.

  • Conducts tasks and assignments as directed while looking for efficiencies.

  • Must maintain knowledge of current and upcoming technologies

  • Conducts code reviews and acts as a resource to others to resolve problems.

  • Participates in sessions, presentations and meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requires

  • Requires 0 - 2 years of experience in database development including using SSIS (SQL Server.).

  • Works under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgement.

  • Intermediate in SQL Server

  • Requires understanding of requirements documentation.

  • Requires effective communication.

  • Must have ability to effectively maintain focus and productivity while working on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision and guidance

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of data warehouse design.

  • Health Care Industry experience preferred.

  • GIT repository

  • Knowledge of cloud concepts

  • Agile Methodologies

Work-at-home requirements

  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.

  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.

  • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms

  • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. GEHA considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

The annual base salary range for this position is $69,637 - $98,163 USD.
