Lilly Electrician – Maintenance – LP1 in Lebanon, Indiana

Lilly is currently constructing an advanced manufacturing facility for production of API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) molecules located in Lebanon, IN. This facility is Lilly’s largest investment in manufacturing capacity and is intended to provide APIs for current and future products, including new modalities. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the startup team for a greenfield manufacturing site, and the successful candidate will help to build the processes and facility to enable a successful startup into GMP manufacturing operations.
Responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the bulk of the electrical equipment used in the process area, labs and supporting utilities at LP1. They need to have a working knowledge of the National Electrical Code. They also need a mechanical aptitude and a good understanding of complex electromechanical devices.
This role is for LP1 in Lebanon, IN. The role includes a short-term assignment at IAPI in Indianapolis between January 2025 and September 2025
Responsibilities:
Safety: Responsible for conducting their daily activities in a manner that will cause no injuries to them or their co-workers. They are also required to attend safety meetings and complete all health and safety related training.
Compliance: Responsible for completing all work in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) procedures.
Documentation: Complete all documentation associated with daily maintenance activities, including work order hard copy completion, parts ordering (pick slip generation), and post maintenance documentation (where required).
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, and fixtures.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Work with high voltage systems, including transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
Work with low voltage systems, including control panels, lighting, UPS Systems DC and AC Motors and their controls.
Work with Calibrated instruments and Standards, including Flukes Meters, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, Amp probes, Megger, Power Analyzer and DVM Etc.)
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering teams to support overall facility operations.
Basic Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Proven experience as an industrial electrician, with expertise in both high and low voltage systems.
Additional Preferences:
Associate degree in Electronics Technology, or equivalent.
Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
Experience maintaining circuit breakers, 13.8KV Main Switch gears, Motor Starters, Fuses, ground fault interrupts.
Strong knowledge of National Electrical Codes, standards, and safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information:
This role is for LP1 in Lebanon, IN. The role includes a short-term assignment at IAPI in Indianapolis between January 2025 and September 2025.
Tasks require entering manufacturing areas which require wearing appropriate PPE.
May be required to provide support outside of normal working hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
