Hydrogen Market Manager

KBR’s global business comprises two main segments – Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) and Government Solutions (GS). This role sits within Integrated Solutions, a business unit within STS. Integrated Solutions is the engineering and project delivery group providing services which include front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.

The Integrated Solutions team has a broad mandate within KBR engaging with clients across the Oil & Gas sector and Energy Transition landscape (including Hydrogen, Ammonia, Carbon Capture, Biofuels and electrification) and is seeking a Hydrogen Market Manager with strong technical and commercial capabilities in this growing area of the Energy Transition. This role is uniquely positioned for those immersed in the Energy Transition to lead, enhance and influence business decisions across the hydrogen value chain. The applicant should have broad expertise across the Energy Transition encompassing both technical and commercial capabilities, bringing insights into the direction and growth of the global hydrogen market.

The position is a hybrid of office / remote working, with a home office location in KBR’s Leatherhead Campus.

Job responsibilities:

  • Analyse the Hydrogen market to identify and target opportunities within KBRs overall energy transition strategy.

  • Identify strategic partnerships and build relationships across all levels of the hydrogen value chain.

  • Collaborate and proactively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to elevate KBRs position in the Hydrogen market.

  • Collaborate across the Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) business unit to maximise the effectiveness of proposals.

  • Engage and represent KBR in various hydrogen forums, associates and conferences to enhance the profile of KBR STS

  • Actively participate in market networks, maintaining a strong awareness of market developments.

Skills / experiences:

Essential:

  • A genuine enthusiasm for Energy Transition

  • Broad technical knowledge of the hydrogen value chain and associated technologies

  • Commercial and business development experience across hydrogen and related industries

  • Experience of building relationships with clients, licensors and other supply chain partners

  • Experience of analysing, understanding and developing global market strategies and insights in the energy market.

  • Proven relationships and connections into the Hydrogen Value Chain

  • Broad business knowledge across different types of products, structures, markets and asset types

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in the development of hydrogen electrolyser technology

  • Experience training/mentoring engineers either informally or through a formal training scheme.

  • a relevant number of years’ experience working in the hydrogen market.

Qualifications:

  • BSc degree in an Engineering discipline ideally with further Commercial and Business Management qualifications.

  • a relevant number of years’ experience working within the energy market.
