Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant incumbent performs administrative duties for the plant. Prepares reports and correspondence, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly; maintains statistical data critical to decision making; sets up and maintains PC spreadsheets and data base using various software; coordinates scheduling of meetings/events; maintains files, personnel records and ordering of supplies. Responsible for the planning and coordinating of department anniversaries, retirements, and special events. Accuracy, neatness, attention to detail, and timely response to all requests are all key competencies and attributes. Conducts themselves in a professional manner while maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Teamwork, cooperation and flexibility are expectations of the position. Additionally, every employee is responsible for their personal safety, as well as the safety of their peers. Adherence of established safety policies and procedures, along with the reporting of all injuries and unsafe conditions are also requirements of this position. Business needs of the department may require additions or changes to the duties of this position.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent

  • Must be able to pass a 2010 version of Microsoft Office testing as part of the interview process (only passing scores in SkillCheck will be considered)

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience with managing multiple systems

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Must be able to prioritize tasks

  • Must be able to pay attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • The opportunity is located at the Hallmark Lawrence Production Center in Lawrence, KS.

  • The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.

  • May be required to work overtime when necessary to complete projects

  • Relocation will not be provided.
