Medtronic Senior Product Specialist Spinal Robotics in Lausanne, Switzerland

We offer you a position of Senior Product Specialist, reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager of Enabling Technologies, where you will develop and execute product marketing strategies and tactics to support the highest level of customer experience. You will be able to become a true pioneer, introducing innovations, further developing the adoption of spinal robotics in Western Europe, and be a critical partner to further define and drive the new AiBle brand.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Drive the 3 main must win battles for Spinal Robotics in Western Europe – open new centers, excellence in safe therapy adoption, protect and gain market share for Medtronic spinal implants.

  • Plan and coordinate the development and implementation of both strategic and tactical marketing campaigns in partnership with the broader European marketing team and Spinal Robotics Business Director, which are linked to fiscal performance goals.

  • Define and deliver innovative product promotional campaigns (with a strong focus on digital) supporting global brand guidance. Ensure that marketing collaterals reflect the needs in the countries and that they are clearly identifiable and used in the field.

  • Commit to monthly updates of demand plans for the supply chain unit, to ensure correct availability of products, minimizing back orders and obsolescence risks. Provide input on forecasts, inventory control, phase in/out plans etc.

  • Establish strong links with the marketing activities at the US and OUS level to align plans for future product launches and product development for Western Europe.

  • Create, maintain, foster contact with KOLs and other health care professionals through participation and partnership during conventions, sales calls and other customer activities to help drive adoption of spinal robotics across Western Europe and to understand market needs.

  • Maintain frequent and continuous communication with regional marketeers and sales force regarding initiatives for Mazor and competitive intelligence.

  • Collaborate with the Western European ™ Training & Education Manager to support local Technical Consultant training, Medical Education and Sales Training ensuring all product training material is up to date and aligned with the strategy.

  • Participate in the design of yearly CST Commercialplans, Initiate, manage and summarize market research and studies to determine customer beliefs and advise management of relevant market trends.

  • Lead and participate to the organization of congresses and Medtronic events and logistics.

Required knowledge and experience

  • A Business or Healthcare related (medical or scientific) degree.

  • At least 3 years of proven experience in marketing and market development.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Place of residence in Western Europe close to an airport, availability to travel for approximately a40% of working timeacross Europe.

  • Proven experience of working in a cross functional team, leading with influence and navigating the matrix successfully.

  • Strong analytical, commercial and entrepreneurial skills withthinking outside the box, and executing your job with passion, energy and excellence.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills aimed at excellent stakeholder management.

  • Knowledge of spine, spinal navigation and/or spinal robotics will be an asset as well as digital marketing skills.
