Robert Half Payroll Supervisor/Manager in Laurel, Maryland

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Supervisor/Manager in Laurel, Maryland. The role will primarily be involved in payroll processing, including input, verification, transmittal, and General Ledger (GL) output extraction. This position requires advanced knowledge of ADP Workforce, with minimal capacity for training. The industry of employment is financial services.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the complete payroll process, from input to transmittal.

• Ensure accurate verification of all payroll related data.

• Handle General Ledger (GL) output extraction using Excel.

• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of ADP Workforce Now to manage payroll tasks.

• Conduct regular auditing of payroll records to ensure accuracy.

• Manage payroll-related benefit functions as needed.

• Handle automated payroll tasks for efficiency and accuracy.

• Oversee full cycle payroll operations, ensuring smooth and timely processes.

• Manage multi-state payroll, ensuring compliance with different state laws and regulations.

• Handle payroll for between 101 to 500 employees.

• Manage payroll garnishments as per regulatory requirements. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll supervisory or managerial role

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Ability to perform thorough auditing of payroll records

• Experience managing benefit functions

• Capacity to process payroll efficiently and accurately

• Familiarity with automated payroll systems

• Experience with full cycle payroll processing

• Knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and regulations

• Ability to manage payroll for 101 - 500 employees

• Experience handling payroll garnishments

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
