We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure our building maintenance and utilities systems are safe, reliable, and compliant with safety and environmental regulations. This role is vital to maintaining our business operations and supporting our company's continued success. Must Haves:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Building Maintenance Technician, including HVAC Service Technician duties.

  • Universal CFC Certification is required.

  • Understanding and experience in building maintenance, HVAC, electrical diagnosing, and maintenance services.

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, MS Access, and MP-2.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • EPA and/or CFC certification required

  • Perform housekeeping, drywall repairs, painting, and maintenance in equipment rooms and other areas.

  • Address electrical circuit breaker issues, and perform repairs or adjustments to doors, including closers, hinges, latches, locks, and exit signs.

  • Conduct dock door and leveler checks, making adjustments or initiating service requests as needed.

  • Install wall-mounted devices in bathrooms, offices, and hallways as requested.

  • Collaborate with a Facilities Engineer or attend training to gain qualification in building maintenance for facilities systems.

  • Review, update, and utilize procedures, checklists, and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks for system operations.

  • Perform inspections for mechanical integrity and conduct monthly Behavioral Observation Safety (BOS) checks.

  • Participate in incident and accident investigations, as well as the TPM Seven Step Process to identify root causes.

  • Provide coverage for other technician positions during absences and train entry-level candidates and summer helpers.

  • Perform non-routine tasks to support business needs, order correct parts, and recommend spares to prevent downtime.

  • Guide contractors to work areas for warranty, contracted services, or emergency response tasks.

  • Assist the Utilities System Manager with additional duties as required.

Skills

  • EPA Certified (2 years of experience is preferred)

  • CFC Certified

  • hvac service technician (2 years of experience is preferred)
