Description:

General Summary

Responsible for stocking linen room shelves with the proper amount of linen required for the following day. Responsible for combining all leftover clean linen into carts. Responsible for placing all empty carts into chute rooms. Responsible for taking inventory of needed supplies and stocking appropriately. Responsible for overall cleanliness of assigned floors (may vary) providing assistance to guest room attendants (GRA’s) and Managers providing materials/items needed to perform their daily tasks. Will be responsible for the delivery and pick up (runs) of items requested by guests to and from guest rooms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Stocks linen room shelves with proper amount of linen.

  • Combines any leftover linen into carts.

  • Takes inventory of all supplies needed in linen rooms.

  • Stocks any necessary supplies.

  • Maintains overall cleanliness for assigned floors.

  • Delivers and picks up all requested items in a timely manner.

  • Maintains Guest Room Attendant’s carts, removing trash and soiled linen.

  • Keeps written record of all “runs” given throughout the shift.

  • Swing and Graveyard Runners will also be certified as a Guest Room Attendant (refer to Guest Room Attendant job description).

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

  • Provide outstanding guest service to all internal and external guests

Requirements:

Job Specifications – Qualifications

  • Previous Runner/Housekeeping experience strongly preferred.

  • Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form in English.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all cards required by the company.

  • Must be able to verify right to work in the U.S.

Working Conditions – Physical Requirements

  • Walking throughout the entire shift as well as occasional bending, stooping and reaching.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 250 lbs.

  • Communicate via telephone and read messages sent via the American Messaging Paging System.
