JOB SUMMARY

W e are currently seeking a senior HR professional to partner with clients in developing and executing HR strategies that drive business growth. You will coach leaders, resolve employee relations issues, and implement innovative solutions aligned with PIP’s culture and values. This Latham, NY-based role supports our largest business unit, North America, and our Global IT organization as a strategic and visible HR business partner.

YOU ARE

A Collaborative Business Partner – You will build influential partnerships with middle and senior management within assigned client groups to execute HR strategies that foster organizational effectiveness. You will also partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COE) leaders to implement global HR policies, procedures and programs to ensure consistency, operational effectiveness and employee engagement.

A Strategic Leader – You will gain a deep understanding of business objectives and translate them into HR strategies and programs that drive employee engagement and development within your assigned client groups.

Passionate about Supporting Others – You will coach business leaders on topics including goal setting, performance management, talent development, change management and leadership.

Insightful and Curious – You will maintain a deep understanding of the business and be a thought leader on people and organizational topics within your dedicated team as well as cross-functionally. You are passionate about staying informed of changes in employment laws and regulations, HR trends and best practices.

Focused on Outcomes – Creating value and delivering results are your passion. You will take ownership of new HR programs and initiatives by developing a business case, identifying success measures, creating a project plan and executing initiatives on time and within budget.

Fair, Consistent and Objective – You will resolve complex employee relations issues in a fair and objective manner, using appropriate counseling, investigative, intervention and mediation techniques. You will also help to ensure that company policies and procedures are well understood and adhered to by all employees.

REQUIRED SKILLS FOR SUCCESS

  • 8+ years of experience in various areas of HR with a minimum of 3 years working in a business partner role, preferably supporting a sales or commercial function.

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources Management or related field; Master’s degree considered a plus.

  • HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) strongly preferred.

  • Strong HR functional expertise across all aspects of HR with a proven track record of being a leader, driving change management initiatives, and an ability to solve complex issues in support of a positive work environment.

  • A proven track record of identifying & aligning HR goals & objectives with overall business goals, combined with a strong understanding of key business drivers.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others to influence and implement HR processes, strategies, and programs.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Familiarity with employment laws and best practices, global experience a plus.

  • Ability to interpret policies and regulations to ensure fair and equitable resolution of issues.

  • Ability to plan, prioritize and manage several complex projects simultaneously while working to meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence and build support for ideas and initiatives.

  • Experience working with various types of HR systems.

  • Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
